Join a Heritage of Engineering Excellence A long-established chemical manufacturing business with nearly 150 years of operational history is looking for an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join its high-performing engineering team. Operating from a COMAH-regulated site in West Yorkshire, the company produces essential products used across water treatment, food and beverage, agriculture, and industrial sectors. With major investment underway in energy efficiency and process modernisation, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of a forward-thinking manufacturing operation. EC&I Engineer £50,000 - £65,000 Enhanced Pension Benefits West Yorkshire. Ref: 24928 Work as part of the Maintenance team to ensure the Top Tier COMAH site is operating in a safe and productive manner and maintain and improve undertaking all duties in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and working to all relevant standards. Creating EC&I drawings (e.g., ), technical specifications, and documents. Producing and checking various documents like risk registers,, method statements, and technical files for new equipment. Participating in, design reviews, and contributing to. Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, legislation, and project requirements, including safety and functional safety aspects. Checking the quality of design deliverables and ensuring they meet the required standards. Supporting the commissioning process, potentially including site visits and overnight stays. Identifying and resolving technical issues, often requiring a proactive and practical approach. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively. What You’ll Bring HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience in an EC&I or similar engineering role within a chemical, process, or manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and associated software. Experience with COMAH and hazardous area installations (ATEX / DSEAR). A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
