Were working with an industry-leading UPS specialist that is looking to add an experienced UPS Maintenance Engineer to its field service team.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer with strong experience across UPS systems, critical power, commercial BESS, batteries and electrical maintenance to join a highly respected business with a strong reputation in the market.
The Role
As a UPS Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault finding on UPS systems and commercial battery energy storage systems across client sites. You will work on a range of critical power equipment, supporting customers with planned maintenance, reactive callouts and technical support.
Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair UPS systems across customer sites
* Work on commercial BESS assets, including maintenance, inspections and fault finding
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
* Diagnose and repair faults on UPS systems, batteries and associated electrical equipment
* Complete battery inspections, testing and replacements
* Carry out site surveys, reports and service documentation
* Provide technical support and advice to customers
* Work safely in line with company procedures and electrical regulations
* Participate in callout rota where required
Requirements
* Experience working on UPS systems, critical power, standby power or similar electrical equipment is essential
* Commercial BESS experience is essential
* Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills
* Experience with batteries, switchgear, power electronics or generators would be beneficial
* Electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent
* 18th Edition would be beneficial xsngvjr
* UPS manufacturer training would be advantageous
* Full UK driving licence is essential
* Comfortable working in a field service role with travel to customer sites
* Right to work in the UK is essential for this role
