This role presents a great opportunity for an experienced early years professional to step into a Third in Charge position, playing a key role in supporting the leadership team and maintaining high standards across the setting. You will be instrumental in helping to shape daily practice, support staff development, and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for children and families.
What We’re Looking For
* Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential
* Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner – essential
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
* A nurturing, caring approach to childcare
* Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team
* Strong communication skills when working with families and colleagues
* Passion for delivering high-quality early years care and education

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy in the day-to-day running of the setting
* Acting as a role model for best practice across the nursery
* Supporting the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with EYFS
* Leading practice within rooms and supporting team performance
* Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Monitoring children’s development and supporting staff with observations
* Assisting with safeguarding, compliance, and operational standards
* Stepping into leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior management
