NW Recruitment are seeking to appoint an outstanding KS2-qualified Teacher to work within a secondary school setting in Blackpool. The successful candidate will teach English, Maths, and Humanities to a group of Year 7 and Year 8 pupils within the Foundation Set. These pupils typically have primary-level reading, literacy, and numeracy skills and benefit from highly scaffolded, adaptive teaching approaches. The role places a strong emphasis on high-quality first teaching, supported by trained specialist assistants, to ensure pupils can access a broad and enriching curriculum and make rapid progress. This is a collaborative role within a dedicated team of teachers, subject specialists, and senior leaders, including a SENCo, who will provide coaching, curriculum support, and strategic guidance to tailor learning to meet individual needs. What does the day to day look like? * Plan, design and produce engaging teaching materials and resources that are appropriately scaffolded and differentiated to meet the diverse needs and abilities of pupils in both Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. * Deliver and review well-structured lessons that support pupil progression across a range of abilities, with a focus on building core skills in literacy, numeracy, and subject knowledge. * Assess, monitor, and report on pupil development, progress, and attainment, using assessment data to inform planning and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. * Create and maintain a positive, well-organised classroom environment, ensuring effective use of teaching resources and promoting a safe, inclusive space for learning. * Contribute to wider school responsibilities, including attending staff meetings, fulfilling administrative duties, and supporting whole-school initiatives as required.
