Senior Support worker Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in providing care and assistance to individuals in their own home. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, IT proficiency, and the ability to drive. Responsibilities: · Ensure you are providing a homely environment for service users. · Provide person centred care. · Creating and implementing organisation procedures to maintain quality standards. · To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the service users using a person-centred approach. · To observe and promote the service user’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfilment and other rights. · To actively support other support workers. · Working on observations and undertaking report writing. · Observing and monitoring service user well-being, and proactively ensuring any unusual physical, mental or emotional situations / occurrences are immediately reported and escalated to senior members of staff and documented in accordance with policy / procedures. · To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations policies, procedures and guidelines. · Retain knowledge of service users care and support plan. · Proactively and continuously encourage client independence and motivation. · Being a companion to the service user by talking and listening to them. · Accompany service users on trips into the community. · Any other duties necessary to give person centred care to the service user. - Develop and implement individualised care plans for individuals - Provide personal care and support with daily living activities - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals - Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and reporting - Supervise and lead junior support staff when necessary - take part in the on call system providing out of hours assistance to staff Benefits • Competitive rates of pay. • Flexible working hours. • Training & Development opportunities. • Pension scheme • Holiday entitlement • Supportive Managers and colleagues.
