Perioperative Clinical Fellow in Anaesthetics
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279)
University Hospitals Sussex (East) is delighted to offer further fellow posts which will be available from August 2025 for 12 months to undertake projects in perioperative care. These posts have been specifically designed to offer participation in major quality improvement and research within the department (details below).
In addition there will be opportunities for career development in a busy teaching hospital. The posts offer broad clinical experience alongside non-clinical projects. These will all contribute to the preparation for competitive ST4 application or CESR application. The roles would also be ideal for expansion of career portfolio ahead of consultant applications.
Main duties of the job
Training and educational supervision will be provided to the level of the KSS Graduate Education and Assessment Regulations, and the post holder will be encouraged to take an active involvement in all departmental activities including Audit and Research. A previous post in the NHS or clinical attachment is desirable. UHS is affiliated with Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), and the anaesthetic department is closely involved with the undergraduate training of these students. Further information can be found in the job descriptions
