Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Manager Location: Glasgow or Leicester (Hybrid working - 3 days/week in office) Salary: £74k (may be wiggle room for the right candidate) £6,000 car allowance excellent benefits Type: Permanent We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK financial services organisation for two Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Managers to join their Consumer Protection team. These roles offer a unique opportunity to lead end-to-end compliance reviews across a broad customer lifecycle, from retail to corporate and wholesale banking. The team is led by experienced senior managers with deep expertise in consumer protection and You'll lead and report on risk-based assurance reviews that identify risk and control themes, potential customer harm and associated root causes. You'll drive the corrective action required to mitigate the root cause of customer harm and enhance associated first line control frameworks. What You'll Be Doing - Lead and deliver risk-based compliance reviews from scoping through to reporting and action management - Assess regulatory risks across FCA, PSR, and other consumer protection frameworks - Produce high-quality written reports for senior stakeholders, including board-level audiences - Manage issue validation and action tracking post-review - Contribute to the annual compliance monitoring plan and provide regulatory insights - Engage with stakeholders up to director level, influencing outcomes and driving improvements - Focus on customer outcomes and identify risks not always covered by standard policies What We're Looking For - Strong experience in compliance monitoring, assurance, audit, or second-line risk roles - Ability to lead reviews independently and manage others in a matrix environment - Excellent understanding of UK regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA Handbook, Consumer Duty) - Background in investment, retail, or corporate banking is highly desirable - ICA or similar qualifications are beneficial but not essential - Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills Why Join? - Variety of work across different business areas - Opportunities to learn and grow in areas that interest you - High visibility and impact across the organisation - Flexible working arrangements and inclusive culture - Strong career progression and company visibility.
