Campus Support Security Officer
Hull
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £24,794 FTE per annum
Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
Responsibilities
* Lock and unlock buildings/areas of the site following security procedure; act as key holder for college premises and ensure buildings are available when required.
* Carry out static guard and mobile patrol duties in and around the College estate.
* Ensure safe evacuation of college premises on activation of the fire alarm; test fire alarms and other safety systems; report any faults to the Premises helpdesk.
* Monitor and manage car parking including issuing permits and penalty notices.
* Identify and report equipment and premises faults to the premises helpdesk.
* Assist other estates and premises staff with related tasks to support the operation of the college.
* Staff the control room, monitor operations and CCTV systems; investigate and report incidents; direct colleagues and contract staff, maintaining an effective responsive service.
* Provide a cash in transit service.
* Available to attend college premises in evenings, weekends, or provide emergency cover on a rota basis.
Qualifications
* Levels 2 English/Maths or equivalent.
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake training.
* SIA License (Manned Guarding and CCTV).
* Experience in security.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work professionally with internal and external customers.
* Ability to prioritise workload and organise schedule.
* Team player and can work independently while upholding college policies and directives.
