Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience within NHS
Desirable criteria
2. IOSH Managing safely or IOSH Certificate (or similar)
3. Recognised patient safety training
Experience
Essential criteria
4. Recent experience working in the NHS for at least 2 years
5. Experience in organising meetings, taking minutes and writing relevant reports from meeting discussions.
6. Experience of managing a diverse workload
7. Communicating effectively via telephone, individual or group discussion, e-mail and MS Teams
Desirable criteria
8. Experience of Risk Management systems (e.g. Datix)
9. Working in a clinical governance or risk management support role in the NHS for at least 2 years
10. Experience liaising with external stakeholders (E.g. CQC, ICB other NHS organisations)
Skills

11. Ability to work at all levels of the organisation
12. Logical problem solving
13. Excellent verbal and written skills
14. Assertive and self-motivated
15. Ability to write professional reports to suit the target audience
16. Ability to write clear concise reports/letters and presentation of data.
17. Competent using databases including familiarity with a risk management system e.g. Datix.
18. Enhanced IT and keyboard skills

Knowledge
Essential criteria
20. Good understanding of the current incident reporting frameworks and methodologies and the new Patient Safety Incident Reporting Framework and National patient safety strategy.
21. Knowledge of NHS agencies, regulatory bodies and other agencies which the Trust must demonstrate compliance to
22. An understanding of the current issues relating to the NHS
