Position
Electrician – Permanent role at ITS Property Maintenance, working for a Housing Association. Hourly rate £20–£27, with van and fuel supplied.
Location
Based out of Maidenhead, Berkshire. Duties primarily in and around SL postcode areas, including the M3/M4 corridor.
Key responsibilities
* Carrying out reactive repairs, fault finding, and EICR testing in tenanted and void domestic properties across SL and some RG postcodes.
* Electrical fault diagnosis and repair.
* Carrying out EICRs and issuing reports.
* Rewiring, fuse board changes, and remedial works.
* Smoke alarm and extractor fan installations.
* Ensuring compliance with current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
* Maintaining accurate records and certificates.
* Providing excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders.
* Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations (BS 7671, internal policies), using appropriate PPE and tools.
* Prioritising first‑time fixes and high standards of workmanship.
* Diagnosing and rectifying faults across domestic electrical systems, including full and partial rewires, following company and industry standards.
* Communicating effectively with residents and colleagues to keep all parties informed of job progress and outcomes; escalating complex issues when needed.
* Supporting the planned works team by completing full electrical upgrades in kitchens, bathrooms, or entire properties – both occupied and void.
Qualifications and experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds 2365/2357).
* Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in Testing & Inspection.
* Full UK driving licence – company vehicle supplied.
* Experience working in social housing or domestic maintenance.
* Own tools (specialist equipment will be provided).
* Participation in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota, attending urgent callouts as required.

ITS Property Maintenance is acting as an employment business for the temporary nature of this role. If successful you will be engaged via ITS Property Maintenance on a PAYE basis with holiday pay at £20.50 per hour, with a higher rate up to £26 per hour for CIS‑registered candidates with appropriate social housing experience.
