Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in South Yorkshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasing support for children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in South Yorkshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to enhance their engagement and educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Supporting young people in their educational and social-emotional journeys through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
* Planning each teaching, tutoring, or mentoring session
* Delivering holistic and engaging sessions tailored to meet individual needs
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
* Two professional references
* Must reside in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments
It is essential that you can promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term engagements
* Work through a contract for service and paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers your work for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching role
