Job Overview
The successful applicant will work with the Professional Lead for Forensic Clinical Psychology/Head of Service for Complex Care to provide a high-quality specialist clinical and forensic psychology service to mentally disordered offenders subject to mental health legislation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with forensic patients within the Orchard Clinic medium secure unit and during follow-up to other services or the community.
2. Provide psychological assessment, treatment, and evaluation.
3. Offer specialist support and consultation to clinical teams, professionals, criminal justice, and carers.
4. Teach, supervise, and research to support clinical psychology trainees and mental health professionals.
5. Contribute to governance and service development through research, audit, and policy work.
Additional Information
This is a part-time, permanent position (0.4 WTE). The role involves regional and national commitments and encourages the development of specialist areas of expertise. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should have relevant experience in forensic clinical psychology, with the ability to provide high-quality psychological services and supervision. A PVG Scheme membership is required, or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.

Based at The Orchard Clinic, Royal Edinburgh Hospital, Edinburgh.
