ITU Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) - Agency Bluestones Medical Location: Glan Clwyd Hospital Pay Rate: £20.00 - £44.00 per hour About the Role Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting highly skilled and experienced ITU Nurses to join our agency team supporting Critical Care services at Glan Clwyd Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with intensive care experience who are seeking flexible agency work while delivering advanced, life-saving care to critically ill patients. As an ITU Nurse, you will work within a specialist multidisciplinary team, providing continuous monitoring, complex interventions, and compassionate support to patients and their families in a high-dependency environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill and ventilated patients Monitor and manage complex patient conditions using advanced equipment Administer intravenous medications, sedation, and life-support therapies Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans Operate and manage equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and invasive monitoring systems Recognise and respond rapidly to clinical deterioration and emergencies Provide support and clear communication to patients' families Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and critical care protocols Requirements Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult) Minimum 6 months recent UK ITU / Critical Care experience Competency in caring for ventilated patients Right to work in the UK Strong clinical decision-making skills under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care Pay Rates Competitive hourly rates from £20.00 to £44.00 per hour, depending on shift type and experience.
