Social Network - Financial Controller Role
We are a well-established organisation offering a broad Financial Controller role that combines management accounting and team management.
Responsibilities include:
1. Annual Report & Accounts: Produce the Annual Report & Accounts under FRS102 standards, managing related processes.
2. Management Accounts: Prepare and present the monthly management accounts and supporting Board MI.
3. Team Management: Enhance the capabilities of the finance team and continuously improve the finance control framework.
4. Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
5. Budgeting & Planning: Support annual P&L and balance sheet budgeting, and the 5-year planning process with insights on margins, costs, and adjustments.
6. Cost Analysis: Create detailed cost packs for cost centre owners and assist with in-depth analysis of cost performance versus budget.
7. Strategic Projects: Support the Change Committee by evaluating cost versus budget performance for key projects, ensuring value for money.
8. Meetings & Insights: Attend and present MI and insights, driving improvements.
9. Tax & VAT: Ensure timely submission and payment of corporation tax and VAT returns.
10. Treasury Transactions: Oversee accounting of treasury transactions, ensuring checks and segregation of duties.
11. Audit Liaison: Lead interactions with external and internal auditors.
Skills/Qualifications required:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar)
* Experience managing people and leading by example
* Advanced skills in Excel
* Strong attention to detail
