Responsibilities
As a Senior Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our consultancy’s work, taking ownership of a wide variety of planning projects and supporting clients through every stage of the planning process. You’ll:
* Lead and manage projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring advice is accurate, timely, and commercially aware.
* Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals, working on everything from small-scale local schemes to large, complex strategic projects.
* Provide expert planning advice to a diverse client base of developers, landowners, investors, and private individuals.
* Undertake research, site appraisals, and policy reviews to help shape development strategies.
* Engage with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and communities to influence decision-making and achieve successful outcomes.
* Mentor and support junior colleagues, helping them develop their technical skills and confidence.
* Contribute to business development, including preparing proposals, attending networking events, and building client relationships.
What you could be working on

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds a degree in Town Planning or a related field (MRTPI status preferred, or working towards it).
* Has proven planning experience, ideally within consultancy or local government.
* Can manage projects independently while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
* Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally.
* Brings energy, initiative, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
* Holds a valid UK driving licence (essential for site visits).
Demonstrates excellent time management skills – able to prioritise effectively and deliver high-quality work to tight and sometimes time-sensitive deadlines.
