We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our clinical team as a Healthcare Assistant.
We need someone to complement our friendly and dynamic team, who wants to progress their career further and who has a natural desire to be part of a busy health care team.
The role is very hands on and requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and ability to perform all the task require, which includes bending, lifting and moving. Please see the job role for details on what the role of HealthCare Assistant within a GP Surgery is expected to do.
The role would be 30 hrs pr week over 4 days (Mon, Tue Thu & Fri working between 8.00 - 18.00 - hours to be agreed)
Primarily the role will be based at Parkview Surgery Ltd however there will be a requirement for cover to work at our sister practice in Ravensthorpe.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes 3 GPs, 4 ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, HCAs all supported by a strong administration and reception team. Our aim is to deliver good quality healthcare to our patients.

* Assist in minor surgical procedures
* Health promotion
* Dressings
* Act as a chaperone
* New patient checks
* Diabetic foot checks
* ECG's
* Vascular QOF reviews
* Ear syringing
* Flu, pneumonia, B12, Shingles IM injections
* Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment and consulting rooms
* Administration of COVID vaccines
* Vaccine / cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
* Suture removal
* Participate in practice audit as directed by management.
* Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
* Support and participate in shared learning within the practice.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
* Phlebotomy trained with practical experience
* GCSE Maths and English grade D or above
* Good standard of general education
* Experience of working in a Primary Care environment
