We are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs across services in the Southampton area.

Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care within supported living, residential, and/or inpatient settings. This role requires confidence in managing complex needs, promoting independence, and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
* Delivering safe, compassionate, and person-centred care
* Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health conditions
* Managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support
* Assisting with daily living activities while promoting independence
* Accurate documentation and reporting of care and incidents
* Working closely with nurses and allied health professionals
* Adhering to safeguarding, MCA, and CQC standards
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience as an HCA in learning disability and/or mental health settings
* Knowledge of mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and complex needs
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
* Strong communication and observation skills
* Flexibility to work shifts (days/nights/weekends)
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
* PMVA/MAPA or similar training
* Experience in supported living, residential, or inpatient services
