Overview
The Opportunity: An electrical professional who wants to progress into testing, inspection and certification. The role offers training to become an Engineering Surveyor within TICs (Testing, Inspection & Certification) and a clear pathway toward chartership through partnership with the IET, including exposure to ATEX & COMPEX competencies.
Responsibilities
* Train to become an Engineering Surveyor and work across testing and inspection of electrical equipment in service.
* Perform testing and inspection across a range of sectors (manufacturing, quarries, power plants, marine, agriculture, airports, etc.), focusing on safety and reliability of electrical systems.
* Progress to more complex sites as training and experience grow, with salary and responsibility increasing accordingly.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified electrical professional (apprenticeship, Level 3 or equivalent); HNC or higher is a plus.
* Experience or exposure to testing and inspection; 2391 and 18th Edition are highly desirable.
* Willingness to train and progress to higher qualifications (ATEX & COMPEX) and ideally chartered status with IET partnership.
Benefits & Package
* Salary: £41,000–£42,000 basic, overtime typically £7,000–£10,000.
* Car allowance or company car: £4,250.
