They are actively seeking a talented, driven Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of professionals, based near the lively, diverse city of Manchester.

Responsibilities for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
7. Contributing to an array of projects across the public and private sectors, including residential developments, healthcare, higher education, natural flood management and flood alleviation, and more
8. Developing models utilising software packages such as Flood Modeller and Tuflow
9. Producing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments, Hydrological Assessments, Nutrient Neutrality Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
10. Contributing to Wetland Management and Re-Wilding Projects
11. Flood Risk mapping and estimation
12. Engaging with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Required skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
13. A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Hydrology, Environmental Management, or another, similar discipline
14. Experience of working in a UK-based consultancy, specifically within a flood risk/hydraulic modelling role
15. Demonstrable proficiency in the use of Flood Modeller and Tuflow
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
17. A keen interest in drainage, flood risk, and climate change
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
18. Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
19. Excellent time management skills
