We’re recruiting for an experienced Civil & Structural CAD Technician to support major infrastructure and pipeline projects within a top-tier design & build contractor. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D deliverables, working closely with engineers across civil and structural disciplines. The successful candidate will be confident using Aveva E3D, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoCAD, with experience designing below-ground infrastructure, foundations, steelwork, and reinforced concrete. Key Responsibilities Create 2D/3D designs, technical drawings, and models for pipeline and infrastructure works Use Aveva E3D for BIM modelling and drawing extraction Prepare detailed designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Design temporary and permanent works in line with project requirements Coordinate design across disciplines using a Common Data Environment (CDE) Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client procedures Participate in clash detection and construction sequencing (4D simulation) Liaise with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to resolve interface issues Essential Skills & Experience Proficient in Aveva E3D, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Civil 3D Experienced in the design and detailing of: Foundations Below-ground drainage and ducting Steel structures and reinforced concrete Confident working with Common Data Environments (e.g. ProjectWise, BIM360) Understanding of design codes, CAD standards, and technical processes Able to work independently with minimal supervision This is a 6-month contract role with strong potential for extension. The position is based in either Manchester or Teesside, with flexible hybrid working available in line with project requirements.
