The team/department
This role is within the User Centred Design Team in the Digital Delivery Hub, part of the Data, Technology & Innovation (DTI) Division, leading the FCA in harnessing data and analytics to transform financial regulation.
What you will be doing (the role)
As a Service Designer at the FCA, you will work within a specialist UCD team to deliver service design for digital product teams, improving services for users:
1. Help teams view their services through a user lens, mapping and discovering improvement opportunities.
2. Design service improvements using data, design thinking, and agile methods to solve problems, test ideas, and foster a learning culture.
3. Develop journey maps, service blueprints, and other artifacts to communicate systems, opportunities, and vision.
4. Support the growth of our design community of practice.

Skills and experience (minimum)
* Experience in project/programme environments involving business & IT change.
* Design experience in financial services, government, technology, or consultancy.
* Proficiency in user-centred and agile practices.
* Ability to help teams adopt user-centred practices and embed them into Agile workflows.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
