Secondary Teaching Assistant / Stoke-on-Trent / May Start / Fixed-Term Contract

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in the Stoke-on-Trent area for a Teaching Assistant to support the SEN team. This is a full-time position, initially running from 11th May until the May half-term, with a strong likelihood of extension until the end of the academic year - and potentially beyond for the right candidate.
About the Role:
* Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across KS3 and KS4
* Working one-to-one and in small groups to support learning and engagement
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored support strategies
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Ideal Applicant:
* Experience working with young people, ideally within a school or SEN setting
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
