**Head of Fleet Operations & Compliance****Location: Glasgow Salary: Competitive salary with annual bonus, car allowance and family health cover Working Pattern: Flexible working Closing Date: 3 April 2026****Help us create a better future, quicker**ScottishPower is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Fleet Operations & Compliance to provide enterprise-wide leadership and governance for fleet and driver management across the business. This is a senior role with significant responsibility, combining regulatory accountability with operational leadership, transformation and sustainability.**What you’ll be doing**As Scottish Power’s designated Transport Manager, you will hold overall accountability for compliance with DVSA regulations, Operator Licence undertakings and internal policy. You will set the strategic direction for fleet governance while enabling divisions to manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the organisation maintains clear visibility, control and assurance across a large, multi-site fleet.In this role, you will lead the development and ongoing maintenance of fleet policies, standards and compliance frameworks, ensuring these remain robust, consistent and fit for purpose. You will provide assurance through strong audit readiness, clear governance reporting and effective engagement with regulatory bodies.You will operate at an enterprise level, providing strategic oversight while supporting divisional leaders to deliver safe, compliant and high-performing fleet operations across geographically dispersed teams.A key part of the role is leading Scottish Power’s road risk strategy, working closely with Health & Safety, Insurance and operational teams to reduce incidents and promote safe driving behaviours.You will hold responsibility for driver management standards, ensuring consistent approaches to competence, training, compliance and behaviour across all drivers.The role leads the central fleet function, including service desk operations, compliance activity, commercial management, spot hire and customer support. You will ensure resilient operational models and strong maintenance planning.Performance, insight and reporting are central to this role. You will lead the monitoring of fleet safety, utilisation, reliability and cost, providing high-quality reporting to executive forums and regulators.You will shape and deliver the long-term fleet asset strategy, aligning replacement plans with Scottish Power’s capital and revenue frameworks. You will work closely with Procurement to optimise supplier performance and value.Technology and innovation will be a key focus, championing fleet systems, telematics and emerging technologies.Sustainability sits at the heart of Scottish Power’s strategy. You will play a critical role in the transition to electric and alternative-fuel vehicles and charging infrastructure.As a senior leader, you will lead, coach and develop a high-performing fleet operations team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.**What you’ll bring**You will bring a comprehensive understanding of Operator Licence obligations and DVSA compliance, alongside proven experience managing large, mixed-use fleets in complex, multi-site environments.
