Consultant Pharmacist – Responsibilities
* Provide a specialist pharmacy service that optimises patient outcomes and improves the patient experience across patient care pathways.
* Lead, undertake, supervise and publish high‑impact research in the field of lipid‑lowering therapies and models of service for the care of patients in this area.
* Contribute to improving health outcomes for patients using a holistic approach, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicine through the provision of medicines‑related aspects of patient care.
* Promote improvements in quality, safety and cost effectiveness of medicines use and support holistic management of clinical conditions, influencing the wider community of practice.
* Act as a mentor and role model as a clinical pharmacist; manager and leader.
* Use innovation to support effective patient outcomes, safety and experience aligned with relevant national agenda.
* Deliver education and training for pharmacy and other healthcare professionals across the health economy and for the University.
* Lead and role model in the field locally, regionally and nationally.
