Our client, a prominent player in the automotive sector, is currently seeking a dedicated NDT Technician to join their expert team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work in NDT within the automotive industry, reporting to the NDT Team Leader and collaborating closely with design engineers, materials science groups, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identifying appropriate methods and carrying out NDT inspection of new and in-service components, adhering to standards, procedures, and SOPs.
* Conducting proof and rate tests using the correct equipment, ensuring accurate results are stored properly.
* Recording non-conformances clearly and concisely within company systems.
* Setting daily objectives and priorities while working as part of a team to meet departmental and event deadlines.
* Processing workload efficiently, updating relevant systems such as D365 as necessary.
* Creating detailed NDT reports to ensure component information is up to date.
* Using AEE equipment competently during proof or load tests.
* Ensuring that test specs, programmes, and fixtures are current and maintained.
Job Requirements:
* Strong engineering background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Excellent knowledge of NDT processes, including UT, PT, MP, ET, RT, CT, and AE.
* NDT Level 2/3 Qualification, with PCN or EN4179 accreditation in the aforementioned methods.
* Proficiency in using MS Office products, particularly Dynamics 365, Excel, Word, LCX, and Part and Works Order Portals.
