The role
As a Digital Engineer - CAD Support, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Your work will help deliver critical programmes that underpin national security and infrastructure, while giving you the opportunity to develop your skills in cutting-edge digital engineering.
Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the future of engineering delivery. This is a role that matters — you’ll configure and maintain CAD systems for major projects, ensuring data integrity and supporting best practice across disciplines.
1. Configure and support CAD software for major projects
2. Guide users on best practice and model management
3. Manage data across multiple disciplines, including audits and quality checks
4. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for software upgrades and new applications
5. Produce and maintain project and function procedures
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.
Essential experience of the Digital Engineer - CAD Support
6. Extensive experience in Mechanical Design/Engineering
7. Skilled in Autodesk Inventor & Vault for 3D CAD model and data management
8. Strong problem-solving and innovative mindset
9. Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO)
10. Experience with document/information management software
Qualifications for the Digital Engineer - CAD Support
11. BTEC National Diploma or higher in Engineering, or equivalent experience
