Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a small teaching team in the picturesque New Forest. This is to support a child 1:1 mostly for speech and language needs. The position is available to start in September 2025.

The school is based close to Lymington for Infant and Junior Students and is a small 1 form entry school. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and use of indoor and outdoor spaces to expand students’ opportunities and experiences. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide care and assistance to 1 student needing support at the beginning of their academic journey
* Having some knowledge of Speech and Language practices would be beneficial
* Support students in participating in educational activities and lessons.
* Ensure students’ safety and comfort at all times.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other care professionals to create and implement individualised care plans.
* Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an SEND teaching assistant or similar role (preferably within an educational or healthcare setting).
* A resilient and hardworking ethos.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with students, staff, and parents.
* An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
* A commitment to promoting the well-being and independence of students.
* An enhanced DBS check will be required (we will assist with this process if necessary).
