SEN Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision

An innovative secondary school in New Milton is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11 to 16 with a variety of complex needs, including SEMH challenges.
The school is a specialist setting designed for students requiring a nurturing and alternative approach to mainstream education.

Your Role Will Involve:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis with SEN and SEMH needs
* Promoting engagement, routine and emotional regulation throughout the school day
* Assisting with learning both in and out of the classroom in an alternative provision setting
* Encouraging confidence, independence and resilience in vulnerable learners
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff
What We're Looking For:
* A caring, empathetic and patient individual with a strong desire to make a difference
* Experience with SEN or SEMH is desirable but not essential-training is provided
* Someone who can remain calm and consistent, even in challenging situations
