This independent branding studio has built brand systems for some of the world's largest tech and consumer companies. This is the kind of work most studios this size never see, but here it defines the output.
The Role
Leading the design execution on complex brand identity projects, you will identify and refine creative ideas in collaboration with the Creative Director, then teach the team to do the same. The role splits equally between hands-on design work and leadership responsibilities. You will act as the conduit between the Creative Director and designers, managing both up and down while mentoring wherever possible.
You will build narratives, construct presentations and lead client workshops. Close collaboration with the strategy team spans immersion and strategic phases. You report to the head of creative in the London office, but work fluidly across any of the four Creative Directors, depending on project allocation.
The Package
£60,000 - £80,000. Hybrid working with three days in the studio. Up to 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and festive closure. Twenty additional work-from-anywhere days and the ability to work from any of the four other global studios. Enhanced parental leave. Discretionary annual bonus.
The Person
A Design Director currently at a strong independent branding or brand-led design studio, around seven to ten years into your career. You are producing good work, but may feel creatively constrained or be working on smaller projects than your ambition warrants. A very strong Senior Designer, recently promoted or ready for that step, would also be considered.
