Overview:
Dawes Paints LTD is a family owned and operated supplier of paint, plumbing, and building supplies based in West London, we are looking to expand our operations and are seeking a new addition to our team. This role will primarily involve supporting the daily operations of our store under the guidance of experienced managers. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn about our products and services. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly disposition, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work on Saturday's.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store, including shelves, aisles, and storage areas.
* Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking merchandise.
* Provide product information and assistance to customers as needed.
* Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately.
* Assist with inventory management, including conducting stock checks and replenishing inventory.
* Assist with pricing, labelling, and displaying products according to company standards.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve store targets and goals.
* Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
* Basic knowledge or interest in paint, plumbing, or building supplies is advantageous.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
