About the Role Our client, a leading global financial services institution, is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to drive the delivery of innovative data initiatives. Sitting within the Data Services team, you will play a pivotal role in creating BI solutions, improving reporting capabilities, and enabling a data-driven culture across the organisation. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, support strategic decision-making, and help upskill colleagues across different business areas. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and data products that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders. Collaborate with business leaders to deliver data-driven projects that highlight opportunities for growth and efficiency. Ensure high-quality, consistent delivery of MI/BI processes while continuously improving service standards. Manage the day-to-day performance and reliability of BI infrastructure. Educate and empower teams across the business to enhance data literacy and maximise the value of BI tools. Build strong partnerships with IT, data developers, and subject matter experts to understand data flows and dependencies. Provide actionable intelligence to decision-makers, identifying market gaps and commercial opportunities. Serve as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders. What You’ll Bring Essential Skills & Experience: 5 years’ experience in BI development within financial services or technology. Expertise in data visualisation (QlikSense Cloud preferred, though Looker, Power BI, or Tableau also considered). Strong SQL skills and experience with scripting, XML/JSON parsing, and data modelling. Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data lake technologies (AWS/Athena preferred). Proven ability to design and deliver business intelligence solutions for senior stakeholders. Experience mentoring and upskilling junior team members. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to craft, test, and optimise queries on demand. Track record of producing clear, impactful visualisations and presenting insights confidently. Familiarity with IT best practices and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams. Desirable: Experience with ODAG in QlikSense. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences. Capable of managing small to medium-sized projects independently. Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised, with a drive for continuous improvement.
