We are working with a well-established and growing M&E contractor based in Stevenage, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical packages across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, and public sector projects. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The Role
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the full commercial lifecycle of M&E projects up to ÂŁ8m
* Preparing cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
* Procurement and management of subcontract packages
* Reviewing and negotiating contracts and variations
* Monitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance
* Working closely with project managers and site teams
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor
* Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical packages
* Experience working on projects up to £5m–£8m
* Good understanding of JCT contracts
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong communication and organisational skills
