Overview
An established structural steel and construction specialist delivering turnkey engineering projects across the UK is seeking an experienced and qualified Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) Manager.
This role requires a confident, client-facing professional with extensive experience managing HSEQ functions within the construction sector. The successful candidate will oversee compliance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environmental management, and quality assurance across multiple sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate HSEQ requirements across 4–6 sites nationwide
*
Manage and maintain company HSE management systems in line with OHSAS 45001:2018 (or equivalent standards)
*
Ensure ongoing compliance with current health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation
*
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to promote an accident-free working environment
*
Maintain and manage ISO 9001:2015 accreditation and overall quality assurance systems
*
Attend and lead weekly client-facing site meetings within multi-disciplinary project teams
*
Oversee subcontractor fabrication, on-site steelwork, and cladding activities
*
Act as the focal point for HSEQ matters, representing the business in client and stakeholder engagements
Required Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience in HSEQ management within the construction or structural steel sector
*
Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards
*
Demonstrable experience maintaining accredited management systems
*
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders
*
Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
