Are you an Electrical Engineer leaving the Armed Forces or already transitioned into civilian industry?
Whether your background is aviation, marine, communications, infrastructure, power systems, vehicles or defence equipment - your experience maintaining critical electrical systems could make you an excellent fit.
We’re recruiting Electrical Maintenance Engineers to support production operations and maintain critical plant equipment. On-site work is either in Scotland, Wales, York, OR Peterborough.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance activities that keep production running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Electrical fault finding and repair
* Maintaining PLCs, drives, motors and control systems
* Planned preventative maintenance activities
* Supporting upgrades and installations
* Diagnosing recurring faults and improving reliability
* Maintaining safe working practices and isolation procedures
Preferred Backgrounds
* REME
* RAF Engineering Trades
* Royal Navy Engineering Branches
* Marine Engineering
* Industrial Electrical Maintenance
* Heavy manufacturing
* Utilities and infrastructure
Skills & Qualifications
* Electrical apprenticeship, military training or equivalent experience
* Strong electrical fault-finding skills
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
* Experience working safely around electrical systems
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* 18th Edition desirable but not essential.
