Finance Assistant Plymouth, Devon Competitive Salary We are working with a leading Plymouth-based organisation, who are currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their busy and collaborative finance team. In this varied Finance Assistant role, you'll take responsibility for several Cost Centres, ensuring all expenditure is accurately recorded and reported. You'll support wider financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to help drive informed decision-making. The responsibilities: Manage a range of budget areas and balance sheet accounts. Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and journals. Process and approve supplier invoices using the finance system. Schedule and prepare supplier and rent payments. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers. Post depreciation and support asset-related reporting. Prepare CIS submissions and ensure compliance. Analyse expenditure against budgets and investigate variances. Support the budgeting and forecasting process. Contribute to month-end and year-end reporting deadlines. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and administrative support as required. The candidate: AAT qualification (or equivalent) desirable. Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational ability. Confident IT user with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Proactive and reliable team player with a hands-on approach.
