Job Description
To take commercial and operational responsibility for Mechanical and Electrical Projects typically ranging from £5,000 up to £250,000 in project value. The work is generated from a 5 year term contract generally in the city and west end of London.
The successful candidate is likely to have a trade background and formal qualifications A minimum of 10 years' experience in the industry of which 5 years must be at supervisory/managerial level.
Responsibilities will include:
·Establishment and control of the site team(s) and ongoing client liaison
·Selection of sub-contractors and suppliers with other senior
·All aspects of Health and Safety requirements
·Attending site meetings as required
·Ensuring quality and quantity of materials, equipment and personnel are maintained at the correct levels for installing all services and executing the works
·Supervision of the delivery and distribution of plant and major equipment
·Carry out regular site inspections both in house and with Client/Design team representatives to ensure correct quality of installation
·Ensuring effective planning and provision for the commissioning process
·Liaise with Client/Design team representatives, system signing off and handover for final commissioning by others
·Commercial responsibilities – supporting the Senior Operations Manager with budgets and quotations, interim valuations and final account. Approving subcontract and supplier invoices.
M&E work stream has a direct labour staffing supported by regular QA approved subcontractors often working long term for the business. Direct staff and regular labour only subcontractors are typically electrical or mechanical and all other more specialist services are brought in on an ad hoc basis to meet the contract demands.
Relationships
Responsible to: Senior Operations Manager
Responsible for: All persons allocated to any designated project inclusive of supervision, operatives and additional allocated support staff.
Liaison with: Estimator and Bid Team members, Supervisors, Operatives, Managers, Directors, Clients and Customers

The Package:
·Basic salary of up to £60,000 depending on level of experience
·Discretionary Incentive
·Annual travel card fully paid (subject to tax as per HMRC requirements) – based on reasonable commuting distance from head office
·Working hours of 7.30am until 4.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour lunch break.
·Based at our head office in London WC2
·25 days holiday per annum.
