The 'Transformation and Programme Management Team' ensures that our Global Sourcing organisation transforms the way it operates to achieve the goals set within our vision. Successful transformation will involve a coordinated set of programmes and change activity across multiple areas. At the heart of this transformation is the embedding of lean principles into the way that we work. Ensuring that the operating model, processes and systems are aligned and fit for purpose.
You will develop, influence, shape and embed an enterprise wide lean culture to drive transformation change for Global Sourcing. You will work with teams including technical, finance, commercial, supply chain, sourcing and the regional business improvement teams based in HK and USA.
Your Responsibilities
* Working with key stakeholders from across the business, you will develop and deploy a Lean strategy and plan, ensuring that Transformation of business processes is underpinned by lean principles to design out waste.
* Lean Product Design and ensure best practice supply chain solutions are incorporated into our operating models and business processes.
* You are a custodian for the governance and integrity of all business improvement initiatives ensuring sound, objective and validated practices are followed.
* You build and manage a team of Lean experts/managers to lead high profile initiatives Within European Sourcing
* You will lead workshops/kaizen events to bring together cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements within our products, suppliers and processes and achieve targeted performance improvement in a compressed timeframe.
* Lead all optimisation related projects, owning the process from beginning to end: Working with teams to establish a robust understanding of 'fitness for purpose' to ensure that products and supporting processes are not over-engineered.
* Drives a culture of customer focus, data-driven decision-making, ownership of processes and operational metrics and continuous improvement.
* Develops, trains and supports deployment of a set of standard improvement tools & techniques.
A bit about you
* Coming from an operations, manufacturing or retail background, you must be able to demonstrate substantial experience and knowledge of production processes.
* Experience of leading complex improvement projects. These should be in multiple parts of the value chain using Lean and/or other business improvement methodologies
* Capable of managing multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies
* Transformation and Change management experience including the cultural aspects of changeManage by fact.
* Ability to identify, extract and manipulate data to identify issues and trends, develop insights and information that directs and validates improvement activity.
* Proficient at building financial business cases
