Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Parotta Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for traditional cooking techniques and the ability to create authentic parottas with precision and flair. This role requires a strong understanding of dough preparation, cooking methods, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and knead dough to create parottas of various sizes and textures.
* Cook parottas on a hot griddle, ensuring they are perfectly golden and flaky.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cooking area, adhering to food safety standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items featuring parottas.
* Handle kitchen equipment safely, including hand tools and power tools used for food preparation.
* Perform basic maintenance on cooking equipment as needed.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role or in a high-volume kitchen environment is preferred.
* Strong fabrication and assembly skills related to food preparation equipment.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for ingredient handling and equipment management.
* Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical experience is a plus but not essential.
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation of food items.
