This specialist study skills tutor role will be an integral part of our student support team, working directly with students to improve their academic performance.
Position description / Job description
* Develop individualized learning plans tailored to students specific needs.
* Provide academic support focusing on organization, time management, and research skills.
* Guide students in effective learning strategies and techniques.
* Collaborate effectively with university staff and other support services.
* Assess student progress regularly and adapt learning plans as needed.
* Utilize online teaching technologies to enhance the learning experience.
* Maintain accurate and up:to:date records of student progress.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of support services.
Expectations / Requirements
Were looking for you, if:
* You possess proven teaching experience with students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLDs).
* You hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
* You have experience supporting autistic students and possess a deep understanding of their needs.
* You have a minimum of an undergraduate degree (Level 6).
* You demonstrate excellent communication and mentoring skills.
* You are proficient in utilizing various online teaching technologies.
* You are committed to inclusive education and fostering a supportive learning environment.
* Completion of relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules is required (support provided).
