Overview
Maintenance Engineer role at Newbury New England LLC in Chesterfield. A globally operating logistics / automation company seeks electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering team in an automated distribution centre. If you have strong electrical skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role could be a great fit.
Responsibilities
* Deliver hands-on engineering to support the logistics system running smoothly
* Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
* Keep maintenance records up to date using CMMS system
* Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
* Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Requirements
* Ideally fully apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications
* Good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment
* Working knowledge of PLC control systems, desirably Siemens S7
* Experience of automated materials handling systems would be an advantage but not essential
* Happy to work a shift pattern with earlies, lates and nights
* Ok to work at heights when needed (via harnesses and full training etc)
