Job Description
My client, a well-respected, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the diverse, industrial town of Bolton.
Essential Criteria:
* A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or other relevant discipline
* Extensive experience of having worked in a design-based role, and in a consultancy setting
* Experience of having produced flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
* Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
* Competent in the use of Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, and similar software packages
* A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Flood Risk Consultant to have the following:
* Experience of team or project leadership
* Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindset
As Senior Flood Risk Consultant, you will be joining a specialist team of engineers, working on a number of high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:
* Contributing to a number of projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
* Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard and within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions
* Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
* Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
* Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders
* Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
* Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
* Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
