Aureos are seeking a Paralegal to join our team in Farringdon on a fixed term contract for 12 months.
The Paralegal will play a pivotal role in supporting the legal, property and insurance (LPI) function and providing support to senior management and various departments within the organisation. This individual will support the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
The role will be hybrid with 3 days per week in Farringdon. The Paralegal will be expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative. A positive, proactive and organised attitude is a must.
Primary tasks and duties:
The role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate:
* Produce legal correspondence and other documents, and conduct legal research, as required and under the supervision of the legal team.
* Review of standard NDAs / confidentiality agreements / PCGs and collation and management of tracker system
* Assist with corporate compliance uplift program, including review and updates of corporate policies and procedures
* Management of M&A data rooms, including distribution of information to relevant stakeholders in the business and communicating and managing timescales for review
* M&A completion and business integration ad hoc support
* Preparation of corporate documentation and filings including board minutes and resolutions.
* Review and update of policies and procedures including Code of Conduct and associated documentation.
* Support on transactional work / due diligence including acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions.
* Management of small claims.
* Administrative support to the LPI function.
Secondary tasks and duties:
* Data Privacy and Protection: Support on data privacy and protection compliance.
* Legal Operations: Enhance legal department processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Previous experience working as a Paralegal, preferably in an infrastructure environment
* Degree in Law or other appropriate paralegal training / apprenticeship
* Understanding of legal principles relating to corporate law and contract law.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
* High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
* Project management skills
* Professional and commercially aware
Desirable:
* Experience working in a similar role or a related field.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge of relevant technology and tools used in legal practice and corporate governance, including PLC.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
