Internal Account Manager – Existing Accounts & Growth
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: Up to £37,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a UK market leader in distribution, supplying innovative products into sectors including shopfitting, signage, exhibitions, glazing and interior design.
This role is focused on developing existing customers rather than cold calling. You’ll be nurturing current accounts, re-engaging dormant clients and spotting growth opportunities within an already established customer base.
Ideal for someone who enjoys relationship sales, commercial thinking and consultative account development.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of clients
• Re-ignite dormant accounts and uncover new opportunities
• Upsell and cross-sell to increase account revenue
• Proactively follow up on warm enquiries and inbound leads
• Provide quotations and maintain CRM accuracy
• Deliver excellent customer service via phone and email
• Support purchasing to ensure customer stock requirements are met
• Produce clear sales reports for management
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in sales, account management or business development
• Strong communicator, confident on the phone
• Natural relationship builder, proactive and commercially minded
• Organised, able to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Comfortable using CRM systems and reporting tools
