We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our growing brokerage.
The Operations Manager takes ownership of operational processes and drives efficiency across the business. This is a senior role requiring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands‑on operational expertise. You will ensure that workflows are streamlined, compliance standards are met, and best practices are embedded throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Design & Improvement: Review, refine, and optimise operational processes across the business. Design new processes to resolve recurring issues and communicate changes effectively.
* System Management (Acturis): Lead the effective use of Acturis, ensuring full utilisation and maintenance. Act as the Acturis Superuser — train staff, troubleshoot issues, and embed best practices.
* Team Leadership & Development: Host fortnightly operational meetings to update on business activities and align teams. Mentor and coach staff, providing feedback in a timely manner.
* Operational Oversight: Monitor task manager and renewal sheets to maintain consistency and efficiency. Issue renewal lists and produce Acturis reports.
* Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to FCA regulations and internal standards. Maintain accuracy and quality across all operational functions.
* Strategic Contribution: Work closely with senior leadership to align operations with business objectives. Support business growth through scalable systems and best practice initiatives.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in operations management within insurance or financial services.
* Strong knowledge of Acturis and commercial insurance processes.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to drive process improvements and manage change effectively.
This is a hybrid role so office based working for 2/3 days each week will be needed.
