Your new company Our client is an award-winning defendant firm with offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a 1-3 PQE solicitor or chartered legal executive with previous professional liability experience to join their Manchester Professional Liability team. This is a hybrid position. Your new role This Professional Liability Associate role will see you: Manage a caseload of professional indemnity claims, including defending solicitors, accountants, surveyors, and a small amount of medical malpractice work. Support senior lawyers in large-scale, complex disputes. Advise clients on coverage issues, liability, and quantum. Draft pleadings, witness statements, and other legal documents. Conduct negotiations and attend mediations and settlement meetings. Liaise with clients, counsel, and experts to progress cases efficiently. Ensure compliance with regulatory and client service standards. What you'll need to succeed You must be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with 1-3 years post-qualification experience. Previous experience handling or assisting in professional liability cases. Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and professional liability principles. Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple files and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong client care and communication skills.
