Description: Provide a high standard of clinical care to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in the practice of General and Acute Care Medicine, fulfilling the requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for Advanced Training in General and Acute Care Medicine.
Position includes core medicine-related terms in Rheumatology/Immunology, HiTH at Nepean, and a HDU rotation towards Acute Core General Medicine at Hawkesbury Hospital.
* Nepean Hospital is a major tertiary referral hospital providing high-level inpatient and outpatient services for all ages.
* Inpatient services manage high-complexity patients requiring specialist care.
* Services include Emergency, Critical Care, Acute Medicine, Surgery (planned and emergency), Maternity, Neonatal, Paediatric Medicine, Minor Surgery, Mental Health, Aged Care, Rehabilitation, Drug and Alcohol services, and various outpatient clinics.
* MBBS or equivalent, registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate category.
* At least 4 postgraduate years completed, with successful examination of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent, and eligible for subspecialty training.
* Demonstrated commitment to training in General Medicine and relevant medical experience.
* Clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner within the last 2 years in a relevant setting.
