We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Summer Student Residence Manager to join our team for a seasonal residential role in Central Bristol. In this role, you will be living onsite at Unite Students with international students aged 16 and 17 who have come to the UK to learn English. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and help manage, together with ELC’s Principal and Self-Catering Manager, a small team of Residence Coordinators in ensuring our students are safe, happy, well looked after and fully supported in the residence and to maintain a structured and positive living environment. You will oversee a team of 2 or 3 (depending on student numbers) Summer Residence Coordinators, who will all be living in the residence. As the Residence Manager, you will be the main person responsible for check-ins and check-outs most weekends (and to delegate cover when not available) and will serve as the primary point of contact for our team of Summer Student Residence Coordinators, providing guidance, support, and escalation for any behavioural or welfare concerns that arise. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of the students while also maintaining a structured and positive living environment. You will also need to liaise with, and decide when to escalate issues to, the ELC school team. If you are helpful and kind, energetic and enthusiastic, have excellent customer service and communication skills, enjoy working with young people, and are also practical and able to proactively problem-solve, we want to hear from you.
