St Elizabeth Hospice is committed to innovation and service development in the Ipswich and East Suffolk area, as well as further along the coast to Great Yarmouth and Waveney. In 2019, NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board awarded a specialist palliative and end-of-life care contract to East Coast Community Healthcare, which includes a specialist palliative care service delivered in partnership with St Elizabeth Hospice.
Our latest Care Quality Commission report rated us as “Outstanding”.
In March 2023, we merged with East Coast Hospice to form St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice, consolidating services in Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
This is an exciting period of growth and development for us, as we expand and invest in our hospice team to provide sustainable palliative and end-of-life care for residents of Ipswich, East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth, and Waveney.
We are dedicated to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable adults and young people. All posts undergo a rigorous safer recruitment process, including criminal record checks and vetting. We also have comprehensive safeguarding policies, and staff are required to undertake regular mandatory safeguarding training.
