The post holder will have the opportunity to work alongside the Clinical Psychologist within the service.
The post holder will contribute to the overall psychology provision within the prisons. Clinical duties will include facilitating psychologically informed therapeutic groups, conducting individual psychology assessments (including neuropsychology assessments), and collaborating with staff to support the management of service users. The role involves working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the framework of the team’s policies and procedures. The post also includes assisting with clinically related administration, conducting audits, collecting statistics, and developing audit or research projects, as well as teaching and project work.
Regular clinical supervision with the Psychologist will be provided, along with access to wider Trust CPD opportunities, including a monthly Assistant Psychologist CPD group.

* Contribute to maintaining high professional standards through active participation in CPD training and development programs, in consultation with the professional and team/operational managers.
* Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with the British Psychological Society’s codes of practice and Trust policies.
* Prepare test materials and visual aids as required.
* Undertake specific administrative duties as needed.
* Perform other duties appropriate to the grade as required by the line manager.
