As a Partner on our service counters
You'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, ensuring it is ethically sourced and recommending recipes to customers. You'll bring our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - to life.
You will use your enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting relationships with customers, positively impacting their impression of the Waitrose brand and fostering loyalty. Additionally, you'll help maximize sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for your own food counter, maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
* Monitor stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
* Handle open food carefully, adhering to health & safety protocols and helping reduce food wastage.
* Maintain knowledge of new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role, catering, or hospitality environment.
* Interest in current food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the entire branch.

Pay: £12.40 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of Work: Part-time, 8 hours per week, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, with specific shifts on Saturday (07:00-16:00) and Sunday (07:30-16:30).
